OUR HISTORY
Agristar, a fourth-generation farming business was founded in 1948, starting with Sugarcane and Subtropical fruit in the eastern regions of Mpumalanga. Today we specialize in growing, processing and marketing tree nuts of the highest quality.
The founder of our company was one of the first farmers to plant Macadamia nuts in Mpumalanga. In addition, he is a founding member of SAMAC (the South African Macadamia Growers Association).
Our business has enjoyed contributing to South Africa’s tree nut industry for more than half a century and we continue to support this growing and prosperous industry.

Today we are a leading producer of tree nuts in South Africa. Our focus is on growing the tree nut industry and reinvesting not only in our own operations but the industry as a whole.
The Agristar brand was born in 2011 and, backed by almost half a century’s experience, we have become tree nut specialists. We have grown into an organization with a portfolio of farms across Mpumalanga and continue to expand.
